Ritu is the founder of bhasin consulting Inc., a practice which specializes in working with organizations to embed diversity, inclusion, and intercultural competence in the workplace.
Ritu possesses a breadth of expertise in diversity and inclusion, leadership development, and people strategies, including: strategy and implementation; organizational leadership; talent management including recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, and retention strategies; career and leadership development programming; and, change management. Ritu has also been trained to administer intercultural competence assessment tools for teams and individuals, using the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI).
Ritu provides innovative, hands-on, and practical leadership development programming for businesses and organizations to help empower their people in advancing their careers. She creates and delivers customized leadership programs for organizations, rooted in strategic career development, with a focus on advancing women and diverse professionals. Ritu also provides strategy-focused coaching, equipping individuals with the tools for success in their career development.
An inspiring and engaging speaker, Ritu is a regular contributor in the media, including her column, Work It Out, on the leading morning Toronto radio show, CBC’s Metro Morning, focusing on workplace issues, leadership and diversity. She regularly presents, facilitates, and provides input to various North American professional associations, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions, including the Executive Programs at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. Ritu is on the instructing team that contributes to The Greater Toronto CivicAction Alliance’s 2011 DiverseCity Fellows Program. Ritu is a recipient of numerous awards and distinctions, and most recently, the 2011 Gordon Cressy Leadership Award from the University of Toronto.
