Paul Fairlie

Paul helps employers and employees to create meaningful and effective workplaces through individual and organizational assessment. He is a quantitative, behavioural scientist with solid foundations in organizational behaviour, psychometrics, and data analysis. No hearsay, fads, or folk wisdom.

Paul’s primary areas of expertise are employee surveys, organizational research, data mining, competency modeling, 360° feedback surveys, structured interviews, assessment centres, and psychological assessment.

Paul is also an expert on meaningful work. He is the developer of the Meaningful Work Inventory®, a comprehensive employee survey of the most critical workplace factors known to organizational science. This includes meaningful work factors, which get to the heart of what really matters to employees…as people.

The MWI was developed over 7 years, tested in 50 states, and has been peerreviewed in academic research. It predicts employee satisfaction, engagement, discretionary effort, commitment, physical health, mental health, and stay intentions. For every 10% increase on the MWI, employers can expect an almost 9% increase in employee satisfaction, commitment and stay intentions.
